  • Hi Penelope1234567

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have breast cancer and lymphoma.  It's perfectly natural to feel like that after a cancer diagnosis particularly as you are living alone and feeling lonely.  Your not the first person it's happened to after a cancer diagnosis so please don't feel you are ever alone. Might I suggest that you ring the Macmillan helpline and talk to one of the volunteers. The helpline is open from 8 am to 8 pm seven days a week.  The number is 0808 808 00 00.  You can also email Macmillan or chat to a volunteer online.  Here's the link: https://www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support/get-help.

Do you have a Maggie's centre near you?  If you do you can drop in and ask to talk to one of their volunteers, you don't need an appointment.

Wishing you the best of luck with your oncologist's appointment.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Penelope1234567

I'm only too happy to help.  If your daughter feels she needs support she can also join Macmillan and join the family and friends forum if she wishes to get support from others who have family going through cancer.  Here's the link to that forum: Family and friends - Discussion Forum.
