Hi there,
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Nov 21.
I've had my operation and radiotherapy and have been given the all clear I have my first mammagram in October but I'm stressing over this now thinking that the cancer will come back. I'm on Letrozole and Adcal D3 for the next 5 years but wish I could not be so anxious. Does anyone have any suggestions on things to do to help this anxiety as I'm normally a calm person.
xx

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with breast cancer last year. It's perfectly understandable for you to be anxious that the cancer will come back. All of us who have had cancer and come out of the other side of it have that fear from time to time. The important thing is not to let it rule your life, easy to say I know. One of the things I found to take my mind off my cancer returning is to take things one day at a time. Also try and keep yourself busy, get out in the fresh air as much as you can as walking does wonders for your mental health, you could also try meditation. There are a number of very good free meditation apps for example Calm Radio, Breathe. You could also try counselling, if there's a Maggie's centre near you why not pay them a visit there will also be someone there to lend a helping hand and even a cuppa and I believe cake and they can arrange counselling for you if that's what you would like.
Hope this is of some help to you.
Wishing you the best of luck with the future.
Best wishes
