Hi I had a stage 1 grade 3 1cm tumour had a lumpectomy 8 weeks ago lymph nodes clear Oncotype result 28 ! so having been told originally I wouldnt need chemo just Radiotherapy Ive now got an appointment to see an Oncologist on 16th August to discuss chemo The BC Nurses keep telling me Im cancer free and any treatment now is preventative !!

I cant get any of them to tell me if I have no lymph node involvement what chemo is going to do for me I have other health conditions and am really scared its overwhelming me

Hi, it's good that you have your oncologist appointment as they are the right person to tell you why they think your need chemo. It might be helpful to have a list of questions written down in preparation and I’d also suggest taking someone with you (if you can) to the appointment. Best wishes

I had same type as you. My onco score was 30 so my oncologist said I would need chemo. J hD 4 sessions and 5 days of radiotherapy. All finished in December last year. Its best to take what they offer. You will get through it.

My surgeon has suggested the onco test too … how long do the results usually take to come back x

yes Ive just spoken to my Bc Nurse and I m going to have what is recommended then Ive done everything I can !
