Waiting for path results and next part of the journey. So far so good
Hi Carol
Thank you for responding
Ive had a lumpectomy and lymph node biopsy. Now waiting for path results for next steps (its the waiting that gets you) most likely radiotherapy and targeted drug treatment rather than chemo. All in all Im feeling positive bit nervous about radiotherapy. It was caught super early as Im on yearly checks due to previous calcifications. Lucky to live near an NHS centre of excellence.
Yes the waiting is the pits. I'm seven years down the line - click on my name and you'll see.
Radiotherapy is very doable. You will have a planning meeting a week or 2 before it starts where they measure you up etc. then the actual sessions are usually less than 20 minutes and most of that time is getting you in position.
