Hi I am new at all this.
I have been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and having a single masectomy on Tuesday. I have had a CT scan and waiting for results. I am feeling now is the time to reach out to others because still quite numb about it all.

Hi and so sorry to hear your news. I was diagnosed with Breast cancer and had a lumpectomy 5 years ago. The tumour ended out being stage 2 and they didn’t get enough clearance around it, so they went in again. I‘ve now had a mastectomy last week. You are doing the right thing having surgery now - I found the auxiliary node clearance more painful than mastectomy, it just pulls rather than being painful but I have taken codeine at night and paracetamol. It’s early days for me but very glad I’ve had my breast tissue removed. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or just want to talk. Are you going to take a photo of your breast before the op?
Hope everything goes well for you - you are in safe hands, have faith in them!
