Hi Jacq
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. It’s understandable that you are feeling numb given that you have to have a mastectomy instead of a lumpectomy.
The best piece of advice I can give you is to take things one day at a time.
Have you talked to your BCN about your worries? If you haven’t give them a ring and talk about your worries about the mastectomy or ring the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 00 00. The helpline is open from 8 am to 8 pm seven days a week.
Wishing you the best of luck with your operation and your radiotherapy.
Best wishes
