Hi all. I’m Chris L, 62 diagnosed on 22 June with IDC grade 1 ER and PR +, Her2 - Only went to doctor as I’d had a dragging sensation in my left breast for a while, no lump or any other symptoms. Because of family history she referred me to the Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe hospital. The scan picked up some white spots and a shadow. Biopsies confirmed the diagnosis like a bolt from the blue. I had my magseed implant and pre op on Tuesday, lumpectomy and slnb follow Tuesday 12th. Already been told I’ll be having radiotherapy possibly chemo depending on results. I’ve nicknamed mine Suzie Slapper, the sooner she’s gone the better. Fingers crossed for a good outcome, really don’t think I’ve processed it yet but I’m generally a positive person and we’ll deal with each step in turn,
Suzie Slapper! That's brilliant :-) Mine was called Bloomin' Nora, but she was forcibly evicted 3 months ago :-)
I was diagnosed in February and it's only now I'm beginning to process what's happened. There is loads of support about, so definitely reach out for it as and when you need it.
Take care x
