i had my 1st chemo last Wed and im in agony with the pain
Hi, I found taking loratidine specifically was helpful for bone pain from the filgastrim. I also took regular paracetamol so the pain did not break through. I am assuming you mean bone pain? If the pain is in your arm, that could be irritation from the EC - it can cause thrombophlebitis. You might be able to ask for a PICC line if your veins are getting irritated. If you are in a lot of pain you should call your chemo unit for help and advice. Really sorry you are suffering and hope your pain settles down quickly x
Hi Hel39, i had the targeted therapy, was really feeling rough for the past 3 to 4 days, I had finished those filgrastim injections and also took loratadine. I still feel in a lot of pain esp my stomach and my back. But compared to yesterday , i think im 10 percent better today. Hope you have a great day , God bless and lets beat this cancer. Im new to this chat room so i dont know if im doing it right.
Hi there, you're absolutely “doing it right” so don't worry, good to hear you're feeling better today. It might help to talk to your nurse about the side effects as they can try different things to help you manage better. Best wishes
