Went for an assessment on Wednesday. Thinking everything will be fine after a routine mammogram. Ended up having scans and a biopsy! I have a 8mm cancer ! It was a big shock and am now worried about what I have to face. The nurses were amazing so kind and helpful. I’m ok most of the time but have wobbles. I will hear what the plan of action is next week so hopefully move forward with the treatment. I can’t believe how quickly it’s all happening . On Tuesday I was bobbing along in life now I’m looking forward to what!!?
I think I need to focus on one day at a time at the moment. It’s hard getting your head around it. Oh no another wobble coming on! …..
It's great that they are moving fast, but as you said, it does not leave time to "digest" anything really. That will come later, once you have your treatment plan and all the preliminary answers on what type of breast cancer it is, etc. For now, you are certainly allowed a wobble -- the carpet has just been pulled from under your feet! Lean on the nurses, lean on the forum, lean on the Macmillan support line. Welcome to the forum.
Hi GLD, and another warm welcome to the forum. Agree with all that GreyCats has said, sorry you find yourself here but it’s a great place for support and shared experiences. Sending love and a big virtual hug your way, HFxx
