Hi all.
New to this site.
I have had 3 lumps removed so far (grade 2 and 3). Waiting on results from 3rd surgery to see if margins are now clear or if a mastectomy is needed. 2 out of 7 lymph nodes positive.
Am I the only one or are any of you getting peeved with being called a 'tough cookie' and being told 'You can do this'. I know people are trying to be kind and supportive but stop. Just talk to me like we used to. No head tilt and sorry face.
Yep, I'm suffering with grumpiness!
Oh yes!!! I felt the same and started this thread! Enjoy!!
Xxx
Yeah, it is meant well. As is the bloody bus analogy they all come out with . I just smile whilst dying a little more inside whenever they say it thinking it’s inspiring. I can only imagine the awkwardness I’d have come out with if it was someone else….though I really don’t think I’d ever use the phrase ‘you got this’ in a non-ironic manner.
Hi there,

You haven't chosen this cancer, you are doing what you have to - in your case having a rubbish time going through multiple operations to get rid of the unwanted nastiness. I am sorry that you have had to have all these operations and really hope its all gone this time.
Thinking of you x
