Scans

I didn’t get any scans or mri. Just the initial mammograms and biopsy. I’m due for radium therapy in next few weeks. X 

Hi Army, I wasn’t too worried then noticed quite a few were saying that they had. I’ve got a face to face with the oncologist on the 15th so I’ll ask him I think. Good luck with your treatment x

I haven’t had any scans. I would think it depends on the suspected stage of cancer in that if they don’t think there is significant spread in your lymph nodes, there isn’t a reason to scan, and they go straight to surgery.

I had both a CT Scan, a nuclear bone scan and a heart scan before I started treatment in October 2020.  I also had a couple of scans during treatment because I had a suspected blood clot, but those scans turned out fine.  I had another CT Scan and nuclear bone scan after my surgery as there was some cancer left in one of the two lymph nodes that my surgeon took and that turned out fine as well.
