Awaiting biopsy results

That seems like a long time for results. Sorry that you’ve had to wait this length if time. I got results about a week after biopsy. I maybe would phone the department back up and ask why the delay x 

Hi Sharon, Waiting for results really is the most frustrating and worrying of times of all. Do you have a nominated Nurse? For example I have a Breast Care Nurse. If you do give them a call and ask exactly what you are waiting for and why it takes so long. If they tell you then at least you can try your best to not to worry and have an expected time when you will find out. My biopsy came back showing cancer but I am waiting for the biology results from that to see exactly what kind of breast cancer that is. I have to wait around 3-4 weeks due to the fact that it is borderline and had to be sent off for further testing. I only found out this by phoning and speaking to my nurse. Hope this helps Sharon. I don't have a BCN assigned yet but rang on Monday, they said results  are taking 3-4 weeks, but they rang  yesterday  and apn going today for results  x thank u!

Thanks, it's stage 2a aggressive  triple negative, was hoping I wouldn't need chemotherapy,  but its needed. X

Sorry to hear that you have triple negative breast cancer.  I was diagnosed with stage 1 grade 3 triple negative just over a year and a half ago and after having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am now cancer free.
