Hi I'm getting my results tomorrow, I'm stage2 breast cancer, my lymph nodes are clear, I'm very anxious wondering if I'll have to get chemotherapy. Anyone else stage 2 that got high results
Hmmm, was great for first three EC, no side effects at all. Apparently protocol says that one needs to change to docetaxil for the final three just in case the body becomes used to/immune to the EC. So had my first Docetaxil two weeks ago and I didn’t enjoy so much . I’m considering packing it in now and just going for my planned radiotherapy and hormone therapy. But we’re all different, so stay positive and hope for the best! Fingers crossed you won’t need any chemo! Keep us posted xxxx
Hi Scoby, I hope your result is a low score. I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago and convinced myself I was going to get a high score. I'm stage 2 HER2.negative ER positive on Anastrazole but lymph nodes clear and my result was 13. So hoping you will have a low score as well. All The best..
Hi Mazz, Im on day 6 of my first EC, feel fine but just waiting for something to happen, waiting for my hair to fall out. Did try the cold cap so don't know really. More uncertain now as may keep some of my hair. people keep telling me the commutative effect of the EC is bad? are they right?
x
Hi Tazeen, I experienced virtually no side effects with EC, maybe a very mild tiredness about day 6, but that’s all. It’s the Docetaxel I had two weeks ago that’s causing me more discomfort and lots of side effects! I didn’t cold cap simply because you’re not able to colour your hair whilst on chemo and have to be very careful with it, so I figured I may as well just opt for wigs until it grows back, also didn’t want to linger on the ward any longer than necessary during my treatments. I buzzed my hair off a week after my second EC, mainly because it was just getting everywhere, it was all over the house, I probably could have held on to some of it for a bit longer had I really wanted (it was very thick). Heres hoping you’re spared any side effects, but we’re all different, although I know many ladies on here who’ve had a relatively “easy” time on EC. Best of luck, you can do it xxxxx
Hi Mazz, Yes I'm afraid my hair is dyed every 3 wks but I am going to try to keep using the colour hairspray.
I do have a wig ready. After my EC I ma meant to be getting the Paclitaxel for 12 wks.
Not sure what the Docetaxel is really, trying not to google stuff as it is depressing!
