Finished Radiotherapy 3wks ago and underarm scar quite red and tender, has anyone tried Siderm Scar Gel to help healing and flatten the scar, 2nd scar also tender but not as red.
Yes - I’ve been using Silderm, but on scars following surgery - I’ve been putting it on twice a day, it’s a nice thicker texture than bio oil, you just apply a thin layer and let it dry. I’ve not had radiotherapy yet, but I’ve been really impressed with it - my scars aren’t red at all. Hope this helps x
I have used bio oil GEL - this I have found to be exceptionally good. (I have other scars as well as my BC one, due to a road accident and this has been better than anything the hospital has ever recommended).
I have put photo on of the products I am using, i clean breast scar with Saline water twice a day, then use the others. I am really amazed how well my scar is healing. Obviously check with your Health Consultant before using anything.
Hi Pip 57, thank you for the pic,I actually bought some of the Nurture a few weeks ago, it was half price so will be using that along with the Silderm and will buy some saline, thank you so much.
I'm only starting radiotherapy in a couple of weeks, having one week of it. Hospital is giving me cream but would you recommend getting your own , I see you all use something different, I don't know what I'm getting from the hospital. X
I am 3 months since having mastectomy and have use Aloe Vera for scar which is totally healed I also use it for massaging under arm and for tissue damage and the lumpyness of that is getting better. Hope you get some help
