Hi
only had my diagnosis a week and I've not been able to go into work today as I can't seem to focus . Been keeping an even keel until now but now reality seems to have kicked in and I'm feeling terrified.
Glad I have found this group though, I'm hoping it will help in the maze I'm about to encounter !
Sorry you find yourself here, it’s a scary time! I found the beginning of the journey the worst, it’s understandable. Once you have your treatment plan and you get started you’ll make progress and start to feel better. I was diagnosed 6 months ago in November, had mastectomy surgery in December (you maybe will be ok for a lumpectomy) started chemo in February and I’m doing very well going for fourth chemo today and I’ve not had any bad side effects at all, my life has continued as usual. The last six months have flown by and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. You’ll get there too even if it is hard to imagine at the moment. Try make the days good, and try not to worry too much! Sending hugs and best wishes to you xx
Hi Redpanda
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with beast cancer. You'll find plenty of support from the ladies on this forum if you need it. It's perfectly understandable that you are feeling terrified, however once you have your treatment plan things should start to improve for you.
Wishing you the best of luck with whatever treatment plan your medical team decides is best for you.
Best wishes
