I was diagnosed in November, had bilateral mastectomy in February and then right axillary lymph node clearance last week. I’m now waiting to find out what’s next, chemo and/ or radiotherapy. I don’t know about anyone else but I find the waiting between appointments to find out what the next step will be a very anxious time, almost torturous. I have to come to realise that one of my biggest fears is of it spreading without me knowing as I was diagnosed from a routine mammogram but had not felt any lumps or had any clue something was wrong.
