Hi there,
I'm having an MRI scan on Wednesday to find out more information before I have surgery. I am really scared as I do not like confined spaces at the best of times.
Has anyone been in one and can ease my mind!
Mx
Hi,
It was fine, as ponymad29 said, I was face down (you can turn your head to either side) girls dangling in two holes, but feet first into scanner. Try to relax and breathe.

I had my m.i.r scan Monday. I to was frightened but the girls were lovely and put me at ease. I also was lucky enough to have music.wasnt quite loud enough lol.it is very noisy but pretended I was I'm a celebrity and no way I was going to press the panic button because for a sake of minutes I wasn't going to give in .I'm new here too and in comparison to others this is straight forward. Hope all goes well. Xx
Hi, I had mine yesterday, I have had a lot in the past for spinal things so knew what to expect. You are on your tummy, I was head first in the scanner but you're quite near the opening at the other end. You'll be given ear plugs and headphones, I had the radio playing through them!
It is loud with different types of noises but close your eyes, concentrate on your breathing and listen to the music. Nothing in the scanner will hurt you, it's just rather loud. The nurses are always lovely and check in on you all the time through the speakers.
Hope all goes well
This makes me feel much better. I had imagined I'd be on my back stuck in a tunnel. The things we have to do! xxx
