My daugher has received a diagnosis of Grade 1 Invasive Lobular cancer. She has disconnected from me for reasons best know to her. I know that she was due to speak with her consultant on March 18, and was pushing to have the MRI scan performed before the consultation. I am hoping that there are others on this forum who may be able to give me any information regarding treatment, possible surgery and whatever relevant information they may have on this type of cancer. Many thanks, Pandora
Hi Pandora welcome to the forum. Believe it or not a Grade 1 is good news in that the cells tend to be slow growing and less likely to spread. Lobular Breast Cancer tends not to present in the usual lump form but grows in a linear way and can resemble a spider with long tentrils going out into the breast ff that makes sense.?
The MRI will form part of the treatment plan and is most useful for the medics when they can get a better picture of what they are dealing with. If you type in Lobular Breast Cancer in the search box on this site only, you will get more information about this type of Cancer.
