I’m 6 chemos in and feeling a bit rubbish today. Not wanting to talk to anyone, thought I’d check out this place for the first time.

  • It really is an invaluable tool for hints and tips. So sorry you're feeling so poorly today. How many cycles do you have left? I start my treatment on Tuesday, following a lumpectomy. Feeling apprehensive to say the least to start on FECT etc

  • Well, the benefit of this place is that you are not obliged to talk; a lot of people only read the forum and never post a word. But, if you are in the mood, then I'd be interested in what type of cancer you have, and then in anything you feel like sharing about what's going on.

  • Hi, sorry to hear you’ve been having a down day.  Hope you’re feeling a bit better now.  I am a year since diagnosis now and doing well and have found this site really helpful as I went through treatment. Best wishes

  • Hope you're starting to feel better. Started my first chemo cycle today, gone well. Not too bad ATM, keeping everything crossed. Jo

  • Hi Jo, I hope you continue to feel ok. I had my first chemo session last Thursday - E C. I felt a little nauseous the first couple of days, but the tablets kept that under control. Had a little nap during the day, and very little appetite. Day 4 I felt normal, looked forward to my meals and did a little admin work. I have been lucky and have continued to walk my dog twice a day for 25 mins each walk. Good luck. Sandra x

  • Hi Gander I hope you don't feel too rubbish after chemo today. Jxxx

  • Doing pretty well up to now. First chemo caused me a lot of anxiety. Thought was worse than the deed. We CAN do this! Expecting a frw rubbish days to come

  • Update. Day 2, first cycle. Bad heache/sinus face pain, dosed up on anti sickness pills. No nausea. Legs/knees pretty achey bit all things considered, pretty good. Long may it continue. Jo

  • Hi Jo, you seem to be doing really well. I am on day 5 now of my first chemo session and am what I would class for me as normal Relaxed

Really hungry, and first day without having a little snooze during the day.

I hope all continues to go well for you.

  • Eating normally ATM. No taste change either. Am I being too optimistic, too early? Dreading the injections at home tomorrow. Neighbour who's an ex nurse is doing the first one to show us how.
