Hi there, this is my first post and looking forward to chatting to people who are looking to do the same and to share experiences and advice if possible ️Today is my second mammogram after being diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago… As usual feeling a bit anxious and emotional.
Have a good day everyone x
Hi Daisy52
Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry to hear that you had breast cancer. I know how you feel, I'm having my first mammogram next week after being diagnosed with breast cancer 18 months ago.
Wishing you the best of luck with it if you haven't had it already.
Best wishes
Daisy53 x
Hi, thankyou… I’ve got to wait for results. Last year it took about a week by letter to say it was all clear. I went on my own for the first one and wish I didn’t as all the memories came flooding back and it was quite overwhelming and an emotional day. So if you can try and have someone to go with you. M
friend came with me today and it was a bit easier as I knew what to expect this time but it’s still the waiting for the results
All the very best for next week x
Aside from 2 years I've had results on day (I'm 6 years on). . The waiting is awful isn't it. I'm back on routine screening now and I was recalled but thankfully after more imaging given the all clear within an hour. We have to go alone as they do group appointments. Friends/family have to wait outside .
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
