I'm new to this and although I haven't got any results back yet I'm worrying,

I went to breast clinic on Friday after being referred by my GP and discovering a lump on my breast, saw a consultant first who said she wasn't overly worried after feeling the lump but obviously with it being there I needed a mammogram, Then had mammogram and was sent straight for ultra sound scan feeling confused a second consultant came on did the scan then explained he was then doing a different more detailed scan ...

The consultant then explained and this was his words the lump is very suspicious and there's a possibility this may be cancer ..... he then did 3 separate biopsy's and explained I would go back this coming weds for results . He did ask me various times if I had any questions I just kept saying no I was on my own as no one was allowed to go with me due to covid . I'm in shock not shed one tear ( which is unusual for me ) just totally numb really has anyone had this experience or similar before ?
im just feeling lost .

  • 3 biopsies is normal practice I believe. You seem to be getting your results quite quickly, which is a positive. Whatever the results they'll sort you out. You can do this!!
