Hi. I am new here. I had a Stage I IDC tumour removed on January 11th 2022. It was 33mm, so medium-sized I'm told. I am waiting for the Oncologist to give me the results of my Oncotype test today, as the cells were grade 2 and 3, which I believe are the most aggressive. Mine is estrogen and progesterone positive, HER2 negative. I may have to have chemo, I will definitely have hormone and radiation treatment. I am nervous! I look forward to being part of the group.
Hi,
I had a Grade 2 hormone positive cancer total area 5cm and had mastectomy and radiotherapy, my Oncotype DX result was 9 and so no Chemo. Let us know the result of your Oncotype.
Nice to 'meet' you, I'm sorry its under these circumstances. I hope the results you receive help you form a plan you're comfortable with. This is a lovely group, you're among friends who get it. Good luck with your treatment x
Thank you @peterawake, I got the call and only know that I do not need chemo! I will be on tamoxifen and zometa, Good news I hope?
Thanks This2willPass... I am relieved there is no chemo. But I am still managing to worry about side effects from tamoxifen and zometa. I would love to hear others experiences with them. x
