Hi, I am new to this group.

I noticed a lump and got it checked out just over a week ago.

Two biopsies of the lump, and a couple of nodes.

The consultant confirmed grade 3 in both, so now have CT and Bone Scans this Friday  The consultant has told me the plan is for Chemo, followed by surgery and then radiotherapy.

I just want to get the oncology appointment asap and start the treatment

Worried

  • Yes this time when you’re waiting is really tough. Sorry to hear of your diagnosis and welcome to our group. You’ll always find an ear or someone who can advise on here as things move on and you have more questions, all the best to you x

  • Hi Sandrad sorry you find yourself here.  The waiting for results and treatment to start is an anxious time.  We all understand how you’re feeling right now.  Hope you are managing to find distractions and I just wanted to wish you all the best xx

  • Thank you.

I am trying to keep busy, but very  worried they will find it has spread when I have the scans tomorrow.

Its good to talk with people who are going through the same emotions

  • Thank you.

Hopefully it hasn’t spread and I can get Chemo started asap to fight the battle x

  • Hi Sandrad, sorry to hear your diagnosis. I too found lump got diagnosed in November last year, stage 3 triple negative in breast, lymph nodes are clear. Its a scary time the waiting for results and then treatment plan but once you see oncologist more and treatment plan is in place I found I was put more at ease. My treatment plan was same as yours - chemo first, surgery then radiotherapy. I started chemo on Xmas eve, 6 sessions altogether of FEC-T at 3 weekly intervals, 3 FEC I've already completed so halfway through, got 3 docetaxel to go.

This group is great for advice, experiences and feedback of any worries that you have. Wishing you all the best x

  • Hiya , welcome but sorry you’re here too

everyone here is so wonderful and friendly

The waiting is the worst isn’t it , hope you get on ok with your scans

    love L xx

Waiting is the worst, good luck with your journey, I was diagnosed yesterday, same as you grade 3, scans this week then I get my game plan......it's still do surreal x bug hugs, good luck tomorrow

  • Hi Sandrad I was diagnosed in January and Its been 4 weeks of waiting for a CT scan which is next week before being sent to oncology. Like you I just want to get started with treatment the waiting is doing my head in. All you can do is keep your self busy and trust the process that they need all the information before so they can get the right treatment started.

I wish you luck that the wait isn’t too long xx

  • Absolutely , all crossed for you

I’m the most impatient person anyway so waiting is not my forte ! Lol

One day at a time , don’t be tempted to look things up ( like me ) and drive yourself bonkers

    love

    L xx
