Hi

i had my lumpectomy done on 1st Feb and the results were good I had a 7mm growth removed with clear margins and the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes. I met with the Oncologist today and my chemo treatment should start in about two weeks. I was diagnosed with 3rd grade triple negative breast cancer. I’m feeling scared and worried.

  • Hi , and a very warm welcome to the forum. Not a group you’d have chosen to join, but lots of support and shared experiences here. It’s a very scary time, and so much waiting in limbo for results and then for treatments to start. Hopefully you will feel reassured by the many folk here who’ve been through similar treatments and are still posting here, giving and receiving support.
My story is slightly different to yours - bigger lump, oestrogen receptive - but the fear and anxiety is common to us all. I’m sure others will pop in soon, you can read people’s profiles by clicking on their user names, and you can create your own if you wish.
There are also threads in the Diagnosis and treatments section specifically for chemo and radiotherapy.
Wishing you well and sending a big virtual hug your way, keep posting and let us know how you are getting on, HFxxx

  • And I’ve just thought of a lovely lady here who I’m sure was also triple negative -  - hope you don’t mind me tagging you. She has supported many people here and is a shining example of a long term member - still posting lovely photos of rural France more than 5 years since first diagnosis.
