Hi!
Ive been to see the oncologist today and have been give my dates to have Picc line fitted and a chemo start date. Im not going to lie Im a complete reck and really nervous for both of these.
My diagnosis is Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma Her2+ Luckily Lymph node came back negative but it doesn't stop me from worrying that it has spread, I can't get the thought from my mind. Ive had an MRI scan so surely i would of been told of any more masses were detected? Anyone else have the same diagnosis?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Evening,
No advice as yet just support as my first oncologist appt is next Wednesday.
Similar diagnosis I had grade 3 but mine is HER- with one positive lymph node. I think in my local trust if the node involvement is less than 4 they assume no spread, and that the chemo will mop up any stray cells.
When do you start your chemo?
Morning!
You should get your appointments on the Wednesday for starting chemo..ect.
My satrt date is 25th, getting the PICC line on on the 22nd.. We will be doing this at the same time hun, have they told you how many rounds of chemo you will be having? Mines 6 rounds over 5 months..
Currently off work as my head is all over the place.

Not yet. I'm assuming I'll get all the information at the appt. Hopefully!
Are you having chemo first or have you had surgery?
I'm currently doing my office job as it's actually at my friend's house but my I'm off from my retail job. Must admit I prefer to busy - takes my mind off everything!
Im doing Chemo 1st. To be fair I would perfect to be at work but i work in a nursery and its really busy and just felt I wouldn't be able to give the children my full attention..
I have 3 children so they keep me busy.. lol

I have a similar diagnosis other than mine had gone to my lymph nodes. Yes the MRI’s are pretty good at finding any spread but the fact it’s not in your lymph nodes is incredibly positive. Also re your work. Obviously speak to your own specialists but I work in a primary school and was told it was too risky for me to work while having chemo due to the infection risks so I’ve been signed off throughout. All the best for your treatment xx
Morning Anna.
Sorry for the late reply, Im currently on my Holidays, and Im not going to lie its a welcome distraction. The doctor is ring tomorrow so i will ask him about work but i pretty much think i will be best stopping off work for the foreseeable due to the risks..
Hope your ok? x x
