Breast recobstruction

Hi I had  breast reconstruction using my own tissue from my tummy 7 wks ago ,very sore at first but gradually  things improve. Worst thing was the  bear hugger I think it was called probably got name wrong,its a heated thing they use to keep breast warm its laid across whole body with hose which inflates and  hot air is blown in with temperatures  of 37-40 degrees, and with hospitals  being so hot it is unbearable  at times,I ask to have it taken off on one occasion. Lucky for me I didnt have any failing with breast not taking only got a couple of lumps at min due to seroma. Its along recovery but better then what I was expecting. Hi.  I had a recurrrnce too but when I asked about reconstruction he said it might be an idea to wait.  I got the impression he was saying to give it time to make sure there wasn’t another recurrence.  But I can’t be sure it was the ideal decision.  I will ask for reconstruction later though.  I wish you well in your surgery and recovery. X

Thank you for this I am waiting now for HER2 test result and plastic surgery unit reopening before anything happens with me, hopefully soon.    I am now looking at underwear etc   Hope you are now on the road to recovery

Thanks for response, I just had meetinagain. g with surgeon yesterday so still processing everything but she said I was a goid candidate for reconstruction.  My previous experience of cancer was 12 years ago so hopefully after this I have no other episodes or it's at least another 12 before I experience it again.
