I was given choice of PICC or PORT I think, that they can't reuse same viens in hand over and over and esp, if, like me I can't use the right arm or hand as this was operated on ...lumpectomy
I'd read up a bit on both, the thought of general anathestic and having port sticking up just ready to be caught on anything and everything put me off so went for Picc haven't found it very comfortable either had to get it redressed twice as it was bleeding a bit but prob me panicking ..it wasn't much and they just cleaned it and remanded. I'm bit of a surgical wimp x
