I had lympectomy done in November and have now started herceptin injection first one was on Tuesday and my body feels like a trains hit it. The fatigue is out of this world . Has anyone else had similar exper with the herceptin?
Hi I was diagnosed in 2019 and had Masectomy then chemo every 3weeks x 6 followed by Herceptin every 3 weeks . Herceptin finished in Jan 2021. Now on bi - annual bisphosphonate infusion which hopefully finish in June . You can read my profile if you want more detail .
At first I still had chemo fatigue so couldn’t tell if Herceptin was also guilty . I do think that it did cause fatigue but because it was after my chemo I actually felt better lol
We all react differently to our treatments the advice I was given was listen to your body rest when needed but make sure you take a walk each day as this will help .,don’t have to go far but you will find you will build up to longer walks .( have a look at Walking back to happiness thread ) Also make sure you’re hydrated especially just before infusion . The SE hopefully will only last a few days . Hope this helps
