Hi.  Has anyone read this book and followed or tried to follow the plan?  I’m finding it quite overwhelming. Also all the different diets and protocols out there, many contradictory. So I hope to hear from anyone who has looked into any of this

Hi Ep21. I haven’t read the book but I would say that if you are finding it overwhelming Ditch the book and just eat healthily. I stopped all processed food and just ate fresh vegetables, fish and fruit and meat twice a week if I craved it

i can’t say that I stuck to it every day but in general I did. There is just too much information out there from so many different people all with their own ideas and as you have found out can be quite overwhelming

Macmillan have a great recipe book which may help you. I followed some of those recipes but I still had the occasional glass of wine and the odd biscuit

my advice would be to stop reading all the self help books and just eat healthily which would help with your overwhelming feelings

OMG just having read this I sound like a Saint but I can assure you I am not!!  I also fall off the wagon occasionally

    Good luck and relax

  • Agreed, my BC nurse and consultant said the same about adding in or cutting out particular foods/ingredients to fight BC, only they did advise to avoid processed foods where possible. Eat fresh if you can - same advice as we hear all the time - so we can be as strong and healthy as possible giving our immune systems their best chance at helping the medicines and treatments to do their work.

When you're going through hell, don't stop!

  • Thanks.  They common sense approach helps.  The thing is I go have a pretty healthy diet. Do you eat any bread or rice/potatoes with all those veggies??  Thanks again :)
