i. I have had breast cancer on and off for 4 years.I recently had a mastectomy but I know that small nodules are going to keep appearing in the area. Anyone else have this and any advice. My surgeon says she can remove them individually
Hi there. I had my mastectomy in August 21 and 4 months after there I developed like 2 little nodules just above my scar. One of them went black on the top like crusty like a cut. Anyway I went to see breast nurses as I could feel a lump underneath nodules and insisted they properly looked at it and that night after ultrasound discovered it was more cancer…. Transpired it was grade3 triple negative whereas I had dcis before. Any little nodules I would insist they check. It’s been a real shock for me and my team are shocked.I’m starting chemo in 2 weeks. So daunting! I don’t mean to scare you but this has made me so aware to keep a close eye on my scar xx

Hello I hope your chemo is you g well and not too many horrible side effects. I was wondering what nodules look like on mastectomy scar as I too bad TN and had mastectomy last july, finished all my treatment in Dec and being vigilant now too especially in this area.

Hi there it’s not going too bad Thankyou! Having second one next week but not looking forward to it. Since this post I found another nodule and had it removed, confirmed breast cancer. I would descrbe them as just a little white spot but raised… not like the sort of lump you feel in the breast. They are tiny but under the skin is where they form up! My last one was only 2cm but if left would have grown. Just look like a little raised spot. Yeah I’m paranoid now! I’m so vigilant… know everything little lump and bump! Hope this helps somewhat!

I had my mastectomy in Jan to renove left breast and nodules. These hve reappeared around the area and patch on my back. Thy look like little raised lumps under the skin and can be itchy at times. I understand that breast cancr can l3ad to this skin cancer. I am restarting immunotheraphy and if this doesn't hlp there is a new chemo treatment available apparently. I'm paranoic about checking my skin!
Gosh it’s so scarey! I have another little one developing but they gonna keep an eye on it see if chemo changes it. I’m praying chemo will help to stop this happening. Yeah my surgeon told me to check whole chest area not just round my scar. Wishing you well. Interesting re immunotherapy xx
