Hi

A bit of history, been unwell for over year, fatigue, sweating, nausea. Thought it was the menopause starting. Blood tests show high lymphocytes, WBC etc. Admitted to hospital in August after experiencing severe pain in ribs, general left side. CT scan showed lymph nodes but no swollen spleen. In the recent months blood tests have been up and down. Pain in bones, still left side , the most random sharp pains. Lump in breast, lump on collarbone, groin, neck. Specialist at the hospital has ruled out lymphoma and urgently referred me to breast clinic. I say urgently, she actually forgot to do this in November it was only done last week!! I have a couple of questions, I have a lump in breast, I suppose this would be a typical symptom, its flat, ragged, hard, it doesn't hurt. But the pain in my armpit..... it burns and stings, this isn't constant, almost like a bad shave followed by cold stinging spray deodrant. I can't think of a better way to describe. I am not sure if my symptoms are usual? I'm not sure what to expect when an appointment finally does come through.

  • So sorry to hear you are not well. I’m not sure I can help but my breast cancer went to my lymph nodes in my right armpit. I actually remember prior to my diagnosis I had a tender pain low down in my armpit when touched. I’ve had a mastectomy and node clearance. My experience is the breast care clinics are great. Always there at the end of the phone and no hanging around Re treatment. I’m sure you will be well looked after and fingers crossed it’s not BC. I’m sure you will have a mammogram first. Have you had any biopsies yet like when they ruled out lymphoma?
Do please shout and keep chasing that appointment as it’s horrible worrying about it all. Best wishes and fingers crossed Fingers crossed
