Anyone on this chemo treatment and how are you doing? Due to start on the 13th January.
Hi, I’m also starting the same treatment on 13th January. How are you feeling?
I’m getting scared now as worried about the side effects.
Hi Willowtree101 and harrietshamqueen I had a slightly different cocktail of chemo, but I do recall being more scared of the side effects than the cancer when I had my oncologist appointment. Fast forward 9 months and it's all behind me now. The side effects can be very challenging to manage, though we are all different and react very differently. Most people find the routine is the same on each cycle and the nurses are really good at adjusting medication and dose to really minimize side effects. I was lucky, I was able to work throughout my chemo treatment.
Best of luck to you both snd try not to worry too much, I know, easier said than done x
Morning harrietshamqueen, yes I’m worried about the side effects too but I’m trying to stay calm. My chemo has been cancelled twice due to my son having covid, now I have it ( no symptoms though) so I’m eager to get started as the cancer is growing. It was 5 cm ago. I’ll let you know how I get in , mines at 10.30am xx
thank you you for your message Irishgirlj16. Yes the treatment is worrying, it’s all the side effect they lost before treatment. You can dwell on that. Got covid (no symptoms at mo) so I’m isolating. Which gives me time to overthink things. Glad you are doing ok xx
