Hi there, just thought I would introduce myself and situation. I was diagnosed in November 2016 and went through Chemo, lymph node removal (5), lumpectomy and finally radiotherapy, treatment completed by August 2017. My fear post treatment was lymphedema and thought I’d been lucky enough to avoid it, unfortunately in late October this year my hand started to swell so I immediately went to GP. The two week referral kicked in; appointment, mammogram and biopsy within 10’days. The remaining lymph nodes turned out to be cancerous and I underwent surgery for removal on 13 December, currently recovering and seeing lymph nurse early January as hand and arm is swollen with it possibly being progressive. I’ve gone through a range of emotions and still feel gutted to have fallen foul of the disease once again but I’m dealing with it, albeit reluctantly . Any tips on funky compression sleeves would be appreciated.
Hi, so sorry to read of your new diagnosis, that must be so incredibly challenging to deal with. I can't personally give any advice on compression sleeves, i noticed your post had dropped off the first page so my response will bump it back up and I am sure someone with the right experience will be along soon.
