Hi everyone,

I had right mastectomy 2 weeks ago after being diagnosed with lobular breast cancer.  The tests mean that I need radio therapy and probably chemo because a small amount was detected in my lymph nodes and the affected area was described as large.

This was only picked up by the difference between previous mammogram and most recent.  No lump or anything. I'm so glad that I booked when prompted and very grateful to the team looking after me.

I am obviously worried about treatment to come even though I know it's the process and have no choice. I am sure that's a natural reaction.

Wishing everyone all the best with everything.

Heartbeat

  • Hi Jean, I hope you are recovering well from the surgery. Response to treatment varies, but obviously having to have it is not great. If you have specific questions just ask, people here will answer to the best of their knowledge and experience.
