Bisphosphonates - mood and sleep

Hi Beatthebreast sorry you haven't had a response to your post.  I don't know anything about zoledronic acid so would recommend you ask your doctor if mood and sleep problems might be a side effect.  It might have nothing to do with the zoledronic acid, a lot of people find they feel low and out of sorts after most or all of the treatment finishes so maybe it could be that.  Best bet is to ask your doctor as they will have seen many ladies who have taken this and so they should know.

Hi! I have had my first zoledronic acid IV.  I didn’t notice any low mood or sleep issues, but I felt as if I had terrible flu the day after treatment.   I did speak to the oncologist who assured me this was normal, but I agree with Godwilling, worth a chat with your consultant or GP.  

Thank you. I didn't really notice much for my first infusion but it was all tied up with everything else - plus I was feeling elated as had just been discharged from main treatment by oncology! I'm starting to feel better now so think it was the infusion.

Good to hear you feel better. It's so frustrating that the stuff that makes us better makes us feel so bad x
