Hi there,
I've recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and thought I would reach out for some help and advice...
Hi Look ahead
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. One of the best pieces of advice that I can give you is don't google about breast cancer as often the information is out of date. If you want to know anything about breast cancer lookup this site and the Breast Cancer now website as they are up to date with treatments etc.
It would be helpful if you would give a bit more information about your particular type of breast cancer so that ladies with the same type of cancer as yourself can give you advice and support.
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer last year and after having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am now cancer free.
While I won't say chemo is easy it is doable and your medical team will do everything in their power to make sure you stay well during treatment. You will be given meds to help cope with any side effects you may have and also a number to contact if any side effects you have become too much to cope with. If that happens your medication and or chemo will be changed to help you to cope with them better.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment when it starts.
Best wishes
