I’m newly diagnosed , well

last month , invasive ductal cancer, just got a chemo cancellation for Friday 10mm

im her2 positive , tumour is 21mm , hoping to shrink it first

no cold cap booked, as would delay treatment , plus prolong hospital treatment

I live alone , so a bit nervous about first day at home, got a good friend coming to stay next day for a few days

  • Hi Deb

So sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Do you have a treatment plan? it's all very hard to take in isn't it? Must be quite a shock for you!

It's wise of you to get a friend to stay. As it's first time you just need to practice caution to be on the safe side.

Good luck and hope all goes well. You can find lots of support here and ask away if u have any questions? What's your treatment plan? Don't answer if you don't want to....no pressure.

  • Hi Deb3112

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  It's good that you are having a friend coming to stay for a few days after having your treatment.

Best of luck with your treatment.

    Best wishes

  • It’s so difficult logging in here every time on my phone

    I m having 4 x chemo

, then they will check if any response to chemo

    ( ie shrinkage )

them removal of marker and tissue surrounding I think Thinking

    if not more chemo

    then finally radiation

I’m getting nervous now , I’ve hardly told anyone my treatment starts Friday , so will make my own way to chemo

  • How are you? Are u saying today starts or next Friday for treatment.

I do hope your friend is there now by way of support. I can understand its all so shocking and moving very quickly and you haven't got the chance to process everything fr diagnosis to treatment.

I am thinking about you and hopefully you're being hand held by onco nurses and medical team.

    Here for u virtually
