Hi I am new here and 2 1/2 years into my HER2 diagnosis. Had a bilateral mastectomy and Chemo. I'm at the end of my reconstruction and decided to have permanent nipples done instead of tattoos. Well my plastic surgeon does not want to do this as he feels I'm higher risk for infection. He wants to do Hydrologic Acid Injections only. Says it will not look any different. I can't find much of any research on this and I find it hard to believe. I literally had a meltdown today because I'm so tired of dealing with this. I'm almost 53 and my life is ticking away. I hate being single but will absolutely not move forward until I feel some sort of normalcy. Any opinions or site suggestions so I can see the difference would be greatly appreciated..
Thank you! Christina Wagar
