Hi Everyone

I was diagnosed at the end of October with grade 2 breast cancer, having a lumpectomy and lymph node removal on the 6th December.

I had Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2009, chemo and radiotherapy and been in remission since 2010.

I was told I had a higher chance of getting cancer again but didn’t really think it would happen, just hoping CT scan comes back clear as I’m a bit worried there's more to this than a lump in my boob! I just don’t feel right, I went to my doctor in June as I knew something was wrong but got ‘unremarkable’ blood test results. I went back in October as still didn’t feel ok, but found the lump 2 days before my appointment, otherwise wouldn’t have been sent to the breast clinic!

  • Hi singlemum

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer particularly after having cancer before.

Wishing you the best of luck with your CT Scan result.

    Best wishes

  • Sorry you're here again. It's so tough...but you're in the right place to have support and info to help you manage and cope best you can. Ask away if you are unsure of anything and someone will be able to answer. I didn't like it and had a reaction due to my shellfish allergy. I didn't know that the dye used has shellfish! But luckily I was able to get antihistamine and that calmed down the reaction.

All the best witn your Ct and results

Bless you, I keep hearing that once diagnosed,  cancer is something we live with for the rest of our lives. I'm pleased you've reached out to the group for support. I can only try and imagine what you've lived through all this time.  One positive thing is that you know from experience they will do everything they can to assess and treat you. Always here if you need a chat.
