Hi, I have been told I need to start tdm1/kadycla next week Does anyone know or have experience of this, does it affect your hair
Thanks
Hi, I noticed you’ve not had any replies and as the site is busy your post has dropped down a bit. I can't help you myself, but this reply will bump you up again and I hope someone with the right experience will be along soon
Hi Eirama,
I have completed 5 cycles of Kadcyla. You do not have to take any additional medications (anti-sickness, steroids etc) while having it. I only had one day of loose stools after the first 2 cycles which didn’t happen on subsequent cycles. No other noticeable side effects. My hair is growing back well after my Docetaxel chemo so no effect there either.
Kadcyla is supposed to be very effective too.
Hopefully you will be fine as well. All the best.

Hi Eirama I’m getting my 5th dose on Wednesday. My hair is back to same thickness pre treatments, just need it to go longer now
How u feeling
I have been told maybe kadcyla down the line too for me. Not sure when but start with chemo firstly in next two weeks. Currently recovering from op.
Again, not many ppl have taken this...I wonder if its new-ish?
Ps it does sound a bit like godzilla doesn't it? Lol like it's brother or cousin!

Hi Eirama. I was diagnosed with Grade 3 invasive breast cancer in July 2020. Had my pre-op treatment, successful lumpectomy, radiotherapy and was expecting to go on 3 weekly herceptin for 14 rounds. But due to cancer cells still being present in the removed tissue. my consultant changed my treatment to kadcyla. I have just completed my 14 cycles. My hair is growing back (curly!), a day or 2 after treatment I have had mild cold symptoms and a horrible taste in my mouth, but other than that and a bit of tiredness, I have felt OK. It's a relatively new treatment, but the studies look good so was pleased to be offered it. Hope all goes well for you, will be thinking of you.
