October last year I was diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer at age 49.  I had a 8 cm tumour.  I completed 8 sessions of chemotherapy.  I had surgery in June and completed 15 sessions of radiotherapy in September.  I’m continuing to have herceptin injections every 3 weeks and today have been prescribed tamoxifen.

Hi C, I am so fortunate to be at the stage I’m at currently cancer free.  Chemo was pretty rough. My surgery wasn’t too bad the most pain was from my lymph node removal.  Have to say the after effects of radiotherapy were worse than I expected but I’ve come out the other end of it and feeling well.  Bit worried about starting the tamoxifen have heard some horror stories of side effects so hoping some lovely people in this group can give me some advice etc.
