Hi folks, just over 2 yrs in recovery had lumpectimy (5 lumps) chemo and radiotherapy had lots of MRI scans and discovered I had 2 fractures of spine and benign tumour at a young 75 I sailed through it all with just a few minor problems just Happy to be alive, I get 6 monthly infusions of Zolendronic acid to help my aching bones but the nightmare is the nerve pain in right arm and fingers and sometimes legs only thing my gp has prescribed is an anti depressant which targets nerve pain but not helping much and trying to gt to speak to a Dr or gt app is a nightmare a friend says I could still contact my BCNurse but I told her I was fine when treatment stopped do you think I can still contact her after all this time. So sorry for the long winded post

Hi Maggie
Sorry to hear you are in pain.
You should.definitely call your breast care nurse who can point you towards some help. You are still under the care of the hospital or your injections.
Alternatively contact your GP. I know it’s a nightmare to see them these days.Do your GP surgery have an online service? At my surgery you can fill in an online form and then they give you either telephone appointment or a face to face one. Also my surgery subscribes to an internet doctor service…..I think it’s called Livi where you speak to a doctor on line.
No one should have to live in pain these days
Best wishes
Hello Maggie, yeah definitely you can contact your BCN, they're always there for you. You don't have to go through gp. I was told last week at my appointment that if I have any concerns or anything regarding my breasts that I don't need to see GP anymore ,it's like a straight pass to the clinic. So please ring and get yourself sorted. Xx
Hi
Sorry to hear of the problems you are having. As others have said, definitely contact your BCN. I was told at the time (2018) that I can call my BCN any time for the next 5 years.
Kindest wishes, Lesley
