I have to share my good news with you, i had a mastectomy in my left breast only in October. I had my results this week and was speechless when i was told i didn't need radiotherapy or chemotherapy, feel very lucky indeed. I have been given Anastrozole and will need to take it for five years and i have also been told that i need a bone scan as well to check the density of my bones. Is anyone else taking Anastrozole and in the same situation, would live to hear how you're getting on with it. Hugs to all xx
Hiya, such good news know exactly how you feel. I had masectomy April 2020 and was so relieved when I was told I didn't need chemo. I'm on letrozole for 10 years and I also had Dexa bone scan and was informed I had to take Alendronic Acid tablets for oestopenia in my spine. I'm doing really well, feet and ankles stiff when I first get up but other than that I'm doing OK and thank myself lucky. Good luck with your scan.
