Hi I'm asking if anyone else has had this issue? I have only had one cycle of treatment for breast cancer and the skin on my face has appeared to have dropped. I have creases/wrinkles around my mouth that wasn't there two weeks ago! It's as though I've aged 5yrs in two weeks. Is this normal and will it get worse. Will it return to normal after treatment? I know its a big ask sorry x

Sorry I did post this under face changes but thought I'd introduce myself. I've been diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer. I have to have chemotherapy before surgery. I have had my first treatment. I am a positive person and I am going to treat each cycle as a step towards recovery. I hope everyone on here is ok and I wish you all all the best. Sending hugs x

Hi and welcome. I can't reply to your problems but just thought I it sounded like your positive attitude is definitely the way forward.

Hopefully someone on here can help. Also ask you care support team that's what they are there for. My breast care nurse told me not to worry about something but to contact the team and someone would ring me back with the answer to the question.

All the best for the future and keep looking forward

  • Thank you for your message Hellesdon. That's very kind of you x

  • Hi Vfox

Have you actually reported this to your onco nurse? I am not experienced enough to advise but one thing for sure is please ring and report this ASAP to your nurse. You're so positive. Keep it up, everything just needs to observed and reported back ASAP

  • Thank you C. Have an appt with oncologist on Tuesday so will mention it. Hope you're well. X

  • Skin issues are quite common and I too feel I’ve aged enormously! I have very puffy eyes, lots of spots and some wrinkling, I understand it will get better when we stop chemo, here’s hoping!!! X
