Still reeling from my diagnosis last week. I have HER2 + and will be starting chemo within two weeks. Trying to process all the changes and trying to make informed decisions about cold caps wigs etc.

  • Sweetie. Its so great to ring that bell. No doubt happiness and sadness all embroiled in one! So pleased for you...are u still on hormone tabs then longer term? Do you mind sharing what that is?

  • Aah Yes I think it was all those emotions just hitting me all At once.Heart   I’m now on tamoxifen they say for 10 years due to my age. But so far so good - Ive been taking them for about 3 weeks  and no side effects that I can identify Yet.   I also have the Herceptin every three weeks. Think I have 12 sessions left. In a funny way it feels a little reassuring knowing you still have the back up of seeing the nurses every 3 weeks xx

  • Yes definitely...I do wonder all the appointments will just come to a halt...how will i ever deal with it all...! Esp when it's all consuming thus journey. We have been through the wars...how do you then carry on like normal?!?!

So luckily there is some contact still...fingers crossed tamoxifen will be a breeze for you!
