Had my first abus yesterday because of heterogenously dense breasts. Always had normal yearly 3D cad mammograms. Last normal mammogram was in Nov 2020.
Compression was at level 3 highest - she asked it it was tolerable but I think it was worse than regular mammogram. My left breast was pressed down by the u/s that tonight I can barely touch the skin on the side closest to the middle of my chest. Took an 800 mg ibuprofen before bed
My right breast findings says there is a possible mass versus artifactual shadowing in the right breast at 10:00, 7.5 cm from the nipple. Additional imaging with diagnostic ultrasound is recommended.
From research I did I notice that abus has a lot of artifactual tendencies to show up - and recalls back for additional pictures.
Anyone else experience this - feeling anxious but trying not to stress as sometimes artifacts can occur due to improper position or shadowing.
Hi Chiswick
I don't have the experience you're looking for but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. This is probably because this is such an active group that your post has fallen off the first page before someone with the experience you're after has seen it. By replying to you it will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.
