i have been told I have nodes on my lungs which might be due to chest infection i had last year

i have to have PET scan but now just scared every time I have a scan I seem to get bad news

just hoping for some positive comments

  • Hi  welcome to our community we know you'd rather not be here but it is the best place for you to get support and answers .

At the moment you need to just take a breath read my story on profile ..just click on my name . You'll see I was told non aggressive most prob no chemo instead after Mx I was  told aggressive grade three and Her2+  . Lymph nodes were clear (3/5,removed to check )

That was june early July 2019 still here on the rollercoaster . There are so many treatments for BC now it is very treatable .After Masectomy  Her2+Diagnosis  for me meant chemo then Herceptin every three weeks which which finishes next week also bone strengthening infusions every six months . All treatment plans differ , Your age and type of cancer all are taken into account so your treatment plan is specific to you .

This waiting time your in is the worst time once you get results and treatment plan  it does feel better . Come on here when you have questions try to stay away from google it's usually wrong . People on here will offer you answers ( they've been there ) and also  support . You can say whatever you wish ,cry ,rage or just chat . Have a browse around the threads you will find lots of different stories some threads under diagnosis and treatments may be similar stories to yourself . Within ongoing discussions you will find threads about walking and the Awake thread which was started 5 year ago by londonlass who couldn't sleep . Someone is usually on there Day and night for conversation and company .....lots of humour which does help

Do keep coming back to post you will be welcomed on any thread

    Thank you for your reply

My chemo plan has been put together I have 8 sessions one every three weeks with the last four targeting the cancer as well It starts 6 th jan

it’s all been very quick and every time I get scan results I fill with dread and anxiety

But I am trying to stay positive even though I feel like I want to scream and cry!!!!

  • We all feel the same at first but but as you get thru each step and day it does become easier . .your imagination will work overtime so much so you find yourself sitting getting first chemo wondering what the problem is . Yes get bad days but not as bad as your imagination says .

NOthing wrong with screaming and crying I'd be more worried if you weren't feeling like that but just remember you are allowed to have a laugh as well . I had 6xEC three weekly then 18 herceptin three weekly last one next week Herceptin is the drug for HER2+

Being positive is a help just remember if you having bad day on chemo it means cancer getting a kick up the a***  and chemo doing its job .
