Hello and welcome to the club no one wants to join. We all understand the panics, especially late at night when the gremlins come and steal our sleep! Have a look around BC on the 4 categories as there are a few stickies that you might find useful or you can start your own thread.
If you after just general chit chat to keep you going we have the Awake thread under ongoing category. Started 4 years ago it's just reached 30,000 posts . Go to last page and say hi and you are in ! It's light heated /supportive and just there ! I'm on my phone so can't put link in . I'll get iPad snd do it once it's charged
Hi, I have also been diagnosed with Grade 3 cancer in my breast, I have had a lumpectomy, but unfortunately it has spread to my lymph’s so will need a mastectomy at a later date. At the moment I’m relieved to have started my first chemo last Monday. It’s all the waiting around is the worst isn’t it. We have this journey to face and just need to get on with it. We are not alone though even though it does feel like it at times. It’s so hard to describe to people how you actually feel and one day can be so different to the next. Some days I just can’t see where this is going but then the sun might come out and I’ll think this is about the living, we need to make the most of every day.
Hope your okay and the good days will shine through
xx
How are you doing Lilahope? I'm newly diagnosed too and have also been having panic attacks. I connected with another lady today who is also panicking. You are not alone. It doesn't stop the panic but it helps. Reading peoples stories has helped me as well as trying to help others and joining the AWAKE thread which Grogg encouraged me to do. When you are panicking just post a message and if someone is awake they will reply. Hope you have been feeling better today. xx
