I have just heard that I have DCIS in my left breast and will be operated on in early January. It's all happened very quickly. I was shocked at first but have felt calm since. How do other people feel?
I was diagnosed with DCIS in Feb 2020 as this was my third Brest cancer , in both breasts I have had a bilateral mastectomy in May . No further treatment needed . I have chosen to remain flat chested . My recovery has been very easy with very little pain or discomfort .
I felt very calm once I new what was going to happen and have never regretted my decision to have both breasts removed . Good luck to you and keep us all informed of your progress .
