Hi all, my wife has previously had breast cancer twice( both Primary cancer) now she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. They are still wanting to do tests to find out if it’s primary or secondary. She has had a Pet/Ct scan last week and was due a lung biopsy last Thursday but her COVID test came back positive so that has been put on hold. Today we had first results fro Pet/Ct and they have found active in Lung, Nodes, Liver, Pelvis and Lower Bowel. Just trying to take it all in. We was just wandering what support is there and who to talk to as I feel like a rabbit caught in headlights and we both feel scared.
Hi Arthur64 welcome to the forum and I so very sorry to hear about what has happened for you both.
Im not at all surprised that you are both scared, those are scarey things to hear and for you both to try and process.
I could ramble on here with all sorts of words etc but it sounds like you would benefit from talking to someone with some medical background and who could answer any or all of the queries that you have and maybe direct you to the sources of support for you both that could be of help.
If you felt able to you could pick up the phone and speak to someone at the Macmillan Line Free-phone number 08088080000.
Sending very best wishes to you both for now and please do let us know how things go for you both as we will be thinking of you. xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
